The Hole Msg Board
I love this board.It has got to be one of the best on the web.The ppl on it are such cool ppl(most of them anyway).I spend most of my time on the Void,but the whole thing rocks.Brooke did an amazing job on it,but then she did an amazing job on the whole site!Like i said before it has some of the coolest ppl on it..its also where Sable,Dime,and I became friends..i was the top poster on it,but i do believe dime has stolen that spot from me..*grrr* hehehe..Queen has now gotten her butt into gear and will make it a point to post here more often,and i'm not saying that just cause i'm scared that Sable will send Punkyskank too noodle whip me if i don't..*L* till next time take care my lovelies..Queen Narcissus (9/3/00)

Brooke is an amazing person. She is the webmistress of holemusic.com, and I have to say that is thee best official site on the web along with fight-club.com.

Brooke is a very sweet person. I had a few questions, and so I e-mailed her, and she replied promptly and answered my questions. She is a sweetie!!

that would be really great, yeah hopefully kim would want to do it.... heheh a song with iggy pop. oh well, i know i'll be surprised with the next hole album.... i hope its really good. i still like celebrity skin, well at least reasons to be beautiful and awful.

I agree with sable..it would be cool to see hole do a collaboration with someone..but i doubt if they did one it would be with Kim Gordon..i believe SY and Hole are not on good terms right now(i could be wrong,and they could be good friends)..hmmm, a song with Iggy Pop..i bet that would be a very interesting song to hear..didn't courtney list Iggy as one of her idols? I would love to hear them cover "Because the Night"..it would probably be better than 10,000 Maniacs cover of it..or maybe i'm just saying that cause i didn't like their cover of it..hmmm,who knows.. n-e-way i just want a new album...please..can we have a new album? i'll be good..i swear i will be..just give us a new album...pretty please with a cherry on top? ok,maybe not a cherry on top seeing how i just ate the last of the cherries..Queen Narcissus(7/27/00)

Sable's Thoughts on Hole's New Album
I'd like to see some collaborations. Perhaps with...*cough* Iggy Pop *cough* - ha ha ha. *grins* Or some collaborations with someone, anyway. Perhaps Courtney could do a duet wit Kim Gordon?

I agree with dimension, a little pop, a little rock. Hole's always been real good about being able to do any style of music they want, cause they aren't afraid to evolve with their sound - which is GREAT!

How about a cover song? What song would you want to see Hole cover? I'd like to hear them cover The Stooges' "Gimme Danger" or "Down on the Street". Or perhaps, they could cover Patti Smith Group's "Because the Night". (Pointless factoid: Bruce Springsteen wrote that song. Bruce Springsteen also wrote - and performed - Rage Against the Machine's "The Ghost of Tom Joad".) sable (7/27/00)

a rap album!!! well that would be funny. what i hope will be in the next hole album is some of the celebrity skin pop like boys on the radio and malibu with someo of the be a man single rock. that would be really cool. that way, people who like the pop more would like it and the people who like the rock more would also like it.

Reasons to be Beautiful
I love listening to Hole. It really brings out the aggressive but feminine side of me. I love that. I feel like I have total control after listening to Hole and while I'm listening to Hole.

Courtney's lyrics have helped me go out there and get what I want. They've helped squash the shy-around-guys side of me, and helped me become a blosoming young woman who has the ability to go up to any guy and strike up a conversation. She's really helped boost my self esteem and confidence. I'd really like to thank her for that.

If you should ever read this, Courtney, thank-you for what you've done to help me. I often got teased in junior high, and I'd go home an put in Live Through This and it would keep me sane. I would also like to thank the rest of Hole for helping Courtney with her music and message.

Hole and Courtney are definately an influential and key band in the '90s and now. They've certainly helped shape a decade. They were one of the few musical highlights of what was the '90s, and they're continuing on making great music. sable (7/25/00)

Hole's Next Album
Ok,this is my first post here so be gentle with me..i've been think alot about hole's next album lately and what it will sound like. will it be popish like CS or maybe rockish like the Be A Man single..then again courtney and company could do a complete turn around and go rap..i personal wouldn't mind hearing courtney bust out some madd phat rhymes, but that just my opinion..either way we won't know till next year probably..courtney herself said that hole would be going into the studio in October(this date is subject to change)to start recording the new album..so i guess we will have to wait till then to find out...so till next time my lovelies take care and be good..Queen Narcissus (7/21/00)

hole fans
ok, so this is my first post on the turpentine project. i just want to write about hole fans. hole fans are usually really cool and open minded which is great if you want to talk to them. i'm glad that there is a hole message board because there aren't very many hole fans in los angeles. i guess because the "beautiful garbage" is too stupid to figure out what's good music.
a lot of people hate hole because they think that courtney love killed kurt cobain. their opinions aren't based on the fact that cobain was suicidal.
oh well enough of me talking about hole haters, i just think that hole fans are usually really cool.

The Turpentine Project
Yay! Dimension and Queen Narcissus both agreed to do this with me, and we're going to start off slowly. Perhaps in the future we'll invite more members to come in and join the project, but we gotta find some steady ground here.
